過ごす Stay
Embrace stillness in a place
where the historic
and the modern intersect.
Masuichi Kyakuden draws on the character of its historic storehouses and other buildings. Masuichi House offers rooms ideal for extended stays, uniquely situated above chestnut confectionery shops. Though distinctly different, both spaces share the same spirit and invite you to enjoy a special stay.
Masuichi Kyakuden
“Ideally, we would welcome you into our own home.” This sentiment is the foundation of the hospitality we provide throughout your stay. Masuichi Kyakuden integrates several buildings, including relocated earthen storehouses once used by a sugar wholesaler and a document storehouse dating back to the Edo period. Based on a design by John Morford, all guestrooms feature modern bedrooms. Enjoy a peaceful escape from everyday life in a private space steeped in stillness.
Masuichi House
Two guestrooms are available, one on the second floor above Sanada‑tei Café and the other above Naka Chestnut Confections. Combining historic charm and modern comforts, the rooms are equipped with appliances and other amenities for extended stays. Just as the sake brewers at Masuichi live on the second floor of the brewery during the brewing season, we invite you to stay on the second floor above a shop where chestnut confections are made. We hope you enjoy being close to the everyday workings of a chestnut confectionery shop. Settle in and make yourself at home.
